Description: A telehandler is a mobile lifting device used as a means to carry construction equipment in a rough terrain environment. This course focuses on the commonly used practices for telehandlers in the construction industry and their safe use on a worksite. Upon successful completion of this course, the worker will be able to:
Identify common accidents caused while operating a telehandler
Identify the types of safety equipment required on telehandlers
Demonstrate the proper use of safety equipment
Explain how to prevent accidents while using a telehandler
Identify factors that affect lift stability
Identify equipment limitations
Explain the basic system components and safe operating procedures for telehandlers
Demonstrate safe operation of a telehandler
